Come on, sauce. We all know that size and strength doesn't really matter THAT MUCH (keyword) in MMA/Kickboxing.You need CARDIO and muscle-endurance. I'm assuming your technique is fine. And most important of all, FIGHTING SPIRIT! Which I'm also assuming you have.
WOW!!! You are looking really good. I can see a lot of progress in comparing the two sets of pics. I am so proud of you!!! I can't seem to find the words to express how impressed I am. You're hard work is truly admirable. Keep up the hard work!!! ~aloha~
The rant was inspired by my demure size. 5'8 140lbs.I don't even want to get big. Because I want to fight in K-1 Max, the heaviest I want to weigh is 160 so I only have 6lbs to cut for fight-time.I guess strength matters more in higher weightclasses. At 140, I'm not worried about how strong my opponents are (I take shots from 200lbs guys regularly), but rather how fast they are (Those 200lbs guys close in the distance on me).In preparation for my amateur debut, I am not lifting. I am only doing shadowboxing (rounds of it too!), bagwork, roadwork, agility drills, bodyweight exercises (pushups, crunches, squats), and MUCH heavier sparring than before. If anybody's in the Philadelphia area, come watch me! www.evolvedfighting.com
I was never a fan of the "no weights" school of training, but best of luck to ya.And I wanna just get as big as possible. I don't wanna be the best fighter in my weight class, I want to be the best fighter.
For some reason your biceps look a lot bigger when you flex in the cutting pics. You look really cut in the last two, especially
ReplyDeleteThe second to last one looks like you need to poo-poo. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteDamn, you look good Em. How tall are you again?
