Training Log: Entry 63

Diet has gone to hell as a result of cutting before the tourney.  Am eating few meals less frequently.  Doing tons more cardio as well.  More carbs for the energy.  I've decided that I'll keep this way until the tourney, and then start bulking until before field training.  Only difficulty will be that I still want to keep up on the cardio, so I'll need to eat a LOT.

Shoulder is feeling stronger.  Found some ok rehab programs.

  2. The worst part about injuries, i think, is that even though the pain is gone, the brain remembers. I used to have wicked bad knee problems because i grew too fast, and to this day i refuse to do sidekicks because i just remember the intense pain i used to get.But hey, that`s the life we lead. I don`t think i`ve been 100% injury free since i started training MA.

  3. It's weird.  The only thing my shoulder CAN do is MA.  It'll hurt when I go to put my arm in my jacket, or reach too high, but I throw a right cross or grapple and it's just peachy.

    I think I'm a mutant =P

  5. CC is on Xanga now? Wowzorz, and with a sweet pick to boot. Anyways, I'm too lazy to check the site, but whens the tourney, I thought it wasn't for a while, but I coud be very wrong. Anyways, your shoulder sounds like it's coming along nicely, hope it gets better quick.
Oh, and I got a quick qusetion for ya, mr. Fitness and such. On wednesday at my pankration, we did a fat ammount of air squats (I think you saw my Xanga entry), and my legs got sore, yadda yadda yadda. Anyways, their almost fine now, except for a gnarly sore part on the inside of my leg right next to my knee, could this be bad? I don't have the best knees from tweaking em out so many times, so I get a little nervous about them, you think this could be bad, or just my out of shape legs yelling at me?

  6. Breaker: I woudl honestly suggest going to a physical therapist.  I have my own reasons for not going, but if I was able, I woudl definitely do that over any home rehab programs.  If that's not an option for you, check bullshido.com.  One thread is called "training the little things", and I have my own about shoulder rehabbing.  Use search.
Todash: It could be muscle soreness, or a knee problem.  My legs were sore for 4-5 days after I started my BWE program.  I suggest just getting your legs used to it.  Try hindusquats and bootstrappers.  Supposedly, they're teraputic for the knees.
And the tourney is 12 Mar.

  7. Cool. My legs are finally done being sore, for the most part. And my knee's feel fine, so I guess it was just doing so many gay squats withouth being used to em. Well, thank for advice, glad I didn't mess my knee's up, cause I kinda need em.
