Training Log: Entry 188


Have added dextrose and maldextrin to my post workout shake in the form of Smartees.  It's a cheap alternative.


Bulk has been cut short now.  No longer actively bulking, simply eating a little more than usual.  Already pretty big.

  1. Haha, that's a pretty funny idea. I'm reordering some powdered dextrose in a few weeks. It's $2 a bag, so if you want I can donate some to your address. It'll last longer than a pack of candy.

  3. Haha, cleaning up your diet just to go and start eating candy! well, if the stuff works, it works i guess since candy is dirt cheap and easy to get. Whats dextrose and maldextrin do exactly by the way?

  4. 13loodfist could explain much better than me, but it helps replenish glycogen stores after lifting (the carb energy you use while lifting) and helps to carry protein to the muscle to help repair it after lifting.
    And when I "clean up my diet", it's never a reference to surgar.  You know I don't eat too much of that =P  It usually means I'm eating less grease, fat, and cholesterol.
