Training Log: Entry 177


Started the "ECO" training this week.  ECO is an acronym for "Explosive, Closed Chain, Open Chain".  It trains plyometrics, strength training, and hypertrophy.  I seem to be gaining back some of the size I lost from boxing.  Currently lifting 4 days a week, working the same muscle groups twice a week.  Should be fun.


Diet has cleaned up.  Need more water.

  1. Never heard of that before, either ECO or plyometrics or hypertropy for that matter. Either way sounds interesting. Haven't seen you post for a while. glad to hear your still alive .

  2. Yeah, I haven't been posting much since I'm not heading to the boxing gym everyday.
    Iwork: Heard about ECO from Muscle and Fitness.  I had an indea to try something similar before I read the article, but this gave me a nice template.  Plyometrics never really feel right to me though.  I understand the principle, but never feel like I'm getting much of a workout.  Still, I'll give it a 4 week test and move on.

  3. It feels more like a bodybuilding workout because the reps are so high, but I'm making gains with it, so eh.
