Notes: This was a great day of pressing. My back was absolutely fried from deads on Sat and yoke and stone on Sunday, but was still able to move well. Did even better than last cycle; no leg drive needed. Supersetted the heavy work with the chins and the rep work with the rows. Forgot the Viking squats; will get them in later this week.
Woke up at 195.4.
I never knew what a viper press is but I've been seeing it in strongman for years and not differentiating the style by any name. Neat. Glad to read your knee is feeling better lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks man! Yeah, I have no idea what the name origin is, but I originally learned about it from Derek Poundstone. Figure it's useful to practice for the sake of speed, and it still gets you a little more "oomph" compared to a strict press. Kinda a cheating strict press, haha.
